SHAPING THE VISION
Every KLIMCHI piece begins as a vision of form, colour and light. Before it reaches the glassworks, the design is refined through proportions, optical details and the way each curve will feel in the hand.
Together with master glassmakers, the idea is translated into a form that can be shaped by breath, heat and craft.

WOODEN MOLDS
Before the glass is blown, its silhouette is prepared in wood. Each mold is handcrafted from carefully selected beech or pear, then fired with molten glass at around 1200 °C before production begins.
With every piece blown inside it, the heat slowly wears the wood away so the molds must be regularly renewed to preserve the final shape.

GATHERING THE GLASS
The glassmaker gathers molten crystal onto the end of a glassblowing pipe, slowly turning it in the heat until the right volume is formed.
Before the piece enters its mold, the glassmaker shapes the glowing mass against wood into its first silhouette. A precise pre-form that guides the final piece.

THE SIGNATURE TEXTURE
The glassmaker places the glowing crystal into a metal mold carrying the pattern. As the glass is blown and gently pressed inside, the raised texture is imprinted into the surface.
This is the moment the piece receives its distinctive optical character.

BREATH INTO FORM
The glassmaker lowers the textured crystal into a wooden mold and begins to blow. Guided by breath, heat and steady movement, the glass expands into its final silhouette.
When the form is complete, a quiet foot signal tells the team to open the mold. A small gesture that reveals the rhythm, precision and trust behind every handmade piece.

HAND-SHAPED DETAILS
While the glass is still hot, the glassmaker reheats selected areas and shapes each detail by hand. Handles, spouts and delicate finishing touches are added or refined while the crystal remains alive and workable.
Every curve depends on timing, temperature and the steady hand of the maker. Turning function into a signature detail.

COOLING & FINISHING
Once complete, each piece is placed into a cooling kiln, where the glass slowly releases tension and gains its final strength.
It then moves to the cutting workshop for finishing. Refining the edges, base and details, including sandblasting where the design requires it.

QUALITY & RETURN
Every finished piece passes through careful quality control. Only the glass that meets KLIMCHI standards continues its journey. From the glassworks to tables, shelves and homes around the world.
Pieces that do not pass the inspection are not wasted. They are broken down into cullet, sorted by colour and returned to the glass batch, where they become part of the next creation.
