He grew up in the Šumava region, surrounded by nature that continues to inspire him to this day. After studying glass painting, he graduated from the Glass Studio at UMPRUM in Prague.

In his work, František often draws on forgotten glassmaking techniques, which he revives with a contemporary expression.

With each piece, he strives to push the boundaries of the craft and is considered one of the most outstanding talents of the new generation of Czech glass art.
