KLIMCHI x ELLE DECORATION

The KLIMCHI brand was founded in 2019 as the ambitious dream of a student who saw potential in handcrafted glass. Much has changed since then, but one belief remains the same – our trust in young talents and their ideas.

When ELLE Decoration approached us with their project for students from the Photography Studio at UMPRUM, it was a natural fit. Supporting creativity and emerging talent is deeply rooted in our DNA.

The assignment sounded simple at first, yet offered plenty of space for creativity: students were asked to create a still-life composition featuring three design pieces – a Hobnail Jug from KLIMCHI, a set of Crystalex glasses, and a Marieli linen napkin.

The project was conceived by Eva Slunečková, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration, together with stylist Klára Tománková. Fourteen students were given the same brief and products; the six best works were then showcased in the magazine’s Young Talents section in the autumn issue.

Award Ceremony

The six winning students were celebrated on the rooftop of Křižíkovy Pavilony during the #ELLERooftopParty by Cirque. Menu at Designblok. Eva Slunečková, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration, and our founder and CEO, Lukáš Klimčák, personally honoured the students for their imaginative approach to the still-life theme. The event was full of energy and creativity, providing a perfect conclusion to a project dedicated to supporting young talent in design and photography.
